Rondee lost PIN

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

A user told us he just lost his PIN.

First question to figure out is whether you lost your PIN for Scheduled-Rondee or for Rondee On Demand?

The difference between Scheduled Rondee and Rondee On Demand —

Scheduled Rondees are calendared through the Rondee website. You sign in to Rondee.com to choose the date and time for the call. Rondee sends out email invitations, and invitees respond on the Rondee website. Rondee keeps track of the attendance and displays the call title, agenda and responses on a page unique to that call. Various features can be enabled such as call recording, automated reminders and recurring conferences. Rondee emails each participant a different PIN code unique to him or her.

Rondee On Demand conferences are not scheduled through the Rondee website. Instead, you independently notify your invitees of the date/time, and all participants dial in with the exact same PIN code.

Using the Same PIN with a Rondee Conference Call

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

A user just asked us: can more than one person dial into a Rondee conference call using the same PIN?

I was not entirely clear if this user was asking about Scheduled Rondee or Rondee-On-Demand.

If he is talking about Scheduled Rondee: in theory, two people should not be using the same PIN because Rondee gives each conference call participant a PIN that is unique to him or her. However, in practice, Rondee will allow more than one person to use that same PIN on a conference call.  They might get a warning message that they can simply disregard it.

If he is talking about Rondee on Demand: the answer is definitely yes.  In fact, the way Rondee On Demand was designed is that everyone uses the same PIN for a conference call.

Rondee Conference Call PIN Questions

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

A user asked: “I signed up for a Rondee conference call account tonight. I customized my PIN. I then tested On Demand by calling in, but it said I did not have any conference calls scheduled. Can’t use my same PIN for On Demand as well as Scheduled?”

The answer is no – the systems operate separately by design to mitigate confusion.

Rondee Conference Call PIN Access

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

A user asked: “I have people that I would like to join in my conference call who do not have e-mail.  How can they participate?”

This is an issue that sometimes arises. Users tell us they typically solve it by calling those folks and telling them their PIN. As the organizer you’ll know what the PIN codes are for each invitee unless it has been made private by that invitee. Rondee will allow access for them even if these folks have not clicked on the conference call invitation.

Rondee PIN

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

A user asked: “Please explain why one of my invitees has a pin that is “private” and all others are viewable. Did he receive a pin and is he ok for the call?”

His conference call PIN is private because he changed it

Rondee-On-Demand and Scheduled Rondee Conference Call PINS

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

A user asked: ” I was trying to attach personalized PIN that I created before I created my Rondee account. I now realize I should have waited to personalize PIN after account. Is there a way to make that one the personalized PIN for myRondee conference call account. It is currently attached to my phone number.Thanks.”

This user created a a Rondee-Now-On-Demand PIN. Once you have reserved a Rondee-On-Demand PIN, that exact same PIN cannot be used as the PIN for a Scheduled Rondee.  The system is set up that way to avoid conflicts between Rondee-On-Demand and Scheduled Rondee Conferencing Systems.

Same PIN codes for Rondee conference calling?

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

A user wrote to us asking: “Can we have 5 different permanent pin #s/access codes (1 for each client for example) for client calls rather than having each individual receive a new pin # for each call conference scheduled?”

The answer is yes.

OPTION 1
You can set up 5 unique (and permanent) PINs, one per client using Rondee On-Demand Free Conference Calling.  These can be used 24/7 and are NOT scheduled through the Rondee website.

OPTION 2
If you would rather use the Scheduled Rondee conferencing system through the website, the way that works is that each PIN code is glued to an email.  In other words, every time you invite someone, they always access Rondee with the same PIN code which is unique to them and attached to their email.  So if you have 5 clients, they would each have their own permanent unique PIN.

Changing Your Rondee PIN for Scheduled Rondee

Monday, March 30th, 2009

The first time you organize a Rondee conference call (or are invited to a Rondee conference), through the web calendar tool, Rondee assigns you an 8 digit PIN.  Registered users, however, can personalize this to something more memorable.  It just needs to be 5 digits or more.

Conference Calling PIN Personalization

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Rondee allows users to choose their own PIN.  This is one of the benefits of registering for the Rondee Free Conference Calling Service.  Most users find that choosing a memorable number makes the teleconference experience far most efficient.

Using Rondee’s Listen Only Feature for Conference Calls

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Rondee assigns each organizer and each invitee their own PIN.

Rondee also assigns a listen-only PIN to just the organizer. Any number of people may call in using this PIN to hear the conference. Like all Rondee PINs, this one is private unless the organizer chooses to share it with others.  What this means for you as the organizer of a Rondee conference call:

1) for the folks you want to participate by listening and speaking: invite them as you normally would using Rondee
2) for the folks you want to attend by listening only: simply email them the listen-only PIN and tell them when to call in
