Using Rondee in Cebu

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I saw a user asked: “Is this area code accepted in Cebu?”

619 is a US area code (San Diego, California) so as long as you can call a US number from Cebu, you can use Rondee conference calling

Questions about Recurring Rondee Conference Calling

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

these were questions recently posted by one of our users about recurring rondee

1) If I have 15 people in my address book and have scheduled a “recurring Rondee” do all those people get conference call invitations every week.

Ø  They get reminders but they do not get re-invited each time!

2) In my Rondee list, I see 7 accepted invitations. Are those acceptances from this week’s invitation or last week’s?

Ø  It would be difficult for me to know offhand because individuals can change their response at any moment .  Assuming nobody has changed their response from the first time, these responses would have been for last week.

3) How do I know which are which are this week’s which which are last weeks’s acceptances?

Ø  Unfortunately all you can really know is what people have said their status is as of this moment in time.

4) How can I avoid all this confusion?

Ø  Recurring rondee works best when you have a stable group of attendees.  If you have a lot of people in a state of flux and you are really trying to figure out if they are going to be there or not going to be there, sending out a new rondee conference call invitation each week is the preferred approach.  It only takes about a minute and many of our users find this is worthwhile.

5) Must I schedule a new Rondee every week in order to know who is in and who is out?

Please see my response to question four

A couple questions about Rondee Conference Calling

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

I saw these questions from one of our users: “What is the maximum number of participants in a Rondee? Does voice quality degrade with large numbers of callers?”

As to the first, the formal limit is 40 but you will most likely be fine up to 50.

As to the second, the answer is no.  Voice quality is not affected by the number of callers.  Having said that, the more callers you have the more likely you may find yourself in a situation where one caller has background noise in his office or home which could interfere with the listening experience for everyone else….so our users typically have folks mute themselves on the larger calls.

Rondee Scheduled vs. On Demand Conference Calling

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

A user inquired: “I have just signed up for Rondee on Demand, but now I think I would be better served by Scheduled Rondee. Can I switch?”

No problem at all.  Just return to Rondee.com and click the link in the upper right hand corner for Sign In / Register For Scheduled Rondee

Then sign up for a regular Rondee account.  By the way, when you click on “My Account” you’ll see your On-Demand PIN code in your account as well.

Rondee and Outlook

Friday, October 9th, 2009

A user asked: “We’re new to Rondee. Is there a way to accept the conference call invite and then have the date/time automatically plug into your Outlook calendar?”

As of now, you can have the conference call date and time plug into your Outlook calendar simply by clicking on the attachment that comes with the Rondee invitation.  It is a two-step process.  You first click on the attachment and then click to add to Outlook.

Rondee, Listen-Only Part 2

Friday, September 11th, 2009

A user asked: “In order to get the pin for listen only, does a conference need to be scheduled or is it available for on demand also? I’m a little confused on the pin #’s.  I registered both of his phone #’s and personalized a pin # that would be easy for him to remember.  If I understand correctly when he dials in from one of his phone, no pin is required?  Does this go for both scheduled and on demand Rondee conference calling?”

The Listen-Only PIN works only for Scheduled-Rondee. Likewise, the PIN-less dialing feature (where the system recognizes and puts you directly into your conference if you have registered your phone number) also works only with Scheduled Rondee Conference Calls.

Rondee Conference Calling

Friday, September 4th, 2009

A user asked: “I have been a long time Rondee conference call user and am very happy with the service. I was wondering if my UK attendee can use any local number and I pay the charge?”

Unfortunately we don’t yet have any local UK numbers.  We are, however, getting ready to launch a German conference call number for our European users.

Same PIN codes for Rondee conference calling?

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

A user wrote to us asking: “Can we have 5 different permanent pin #s/access codes (1 for each client for example) for client calls rather than having each individual receive a new pin # for each call conference scheduled?”

The answer is yes.

OPTION 1
You can set up 5 unique (and permanent) PINs, one per client using Rondee On-Demand Free Conference Calling.  These can be used 24/7 and are NOT scheduled through the Rondee website.

OPTION 2
If you would rather use the Scheduled Rondee conferencing system through the website, the way that works is that each PIN code is glued to an email.  In other words, every time you invite someone, they always access Rondee with the same PIN code which is unique to them and attached to their email.  So if you have 5 clients, they would each have their own permanent unique PIN.

Scheduling a Rondee Conference Call with Foreign Participants

Friday, February 13th, 2009

When you schedule the Rondee,  it will be in your own time zone and your invitees will be notified that it is in your timezone.
Rondee does not charge for our conference calling service.  Your invitees calling from abroad, however, will need to be able to call a US phone number

Using Rondee From Canada for Free Conference Calls

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Rondee does not currently have a bridge number in Canada.  However, we do have a lot of Canadian users who dial our California number (619-276-6333) to use Rondee.  As long as you can call a California number, you can use Rondee for conference calling.
