DTMF Tones
A user asked: “When I call in for a Rondee conference call from certain phone numbers, I get “Your pin is not found in the system” type message. When I call in from some other numbers for conferences, it accepts the pin. Any idea what is causing this?
We researched this issue and found that this conference call user was calling in on a VOIP carrier with a very long PIN. Some VOIP carriers do not have good DTMF transmission and if even one digit gets dropped, the PIN is not recognizable. For example, the user might enter 123456789 but what comes through is 13456789.
Occasionally this problem might also happen with cell carriers and poor cell reception. The only solution is to dial back and enter each digit in the PIN slowly.
