Rondee PIN deactivation

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

A Rondee-On-Demand Conference Call PIN will naturally lapse if it is unused for a certain period of time (6 months).

If it is a Toll-Free enabled PIN, and you want to remove the Toll-Free feature, just log into your account, click on “My Account” and uncheck the box next to that PIN.

Rondee Free conference calling versus Rondee toll-free

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

A user asked: “It sounds like you have a very good service here. But I am puzzled as to how you make money - what’s in it for you?”

It is true that we do not charge for our core service: Rondee Free Conference Calling.  However, some percentage of our users do sign-up for our premium service (Rondee Toll-Free) which is a paid service at five cents per minute per user.  In addition, we will be releasing new premium features in the future such as call transcription.

Rondee Premium Toll-Free Service Now Live!

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

How does Rondee Tolll-Free work?

* Rondee Toll Free works exactly like regular Rondee except the dial-in number is a toll free number rather than 619-276-6333. You will receive that phone number when you schedule a Toll Free Rondee. Rondee Toll Free works with both Scheduled Rondee as well as Rondee On Demand.

* To use Rondee Toll Free on a Scheduled Rondee, just check the box marked “Enable Toll Free Dialing” which you’ll see on the scheduling page. The box can be found at the bottom of the list of options you can select while you are setting up your conference call

* To use Rondee Toll Free for Rondee On-Demand, log in to your account and click on the My Account link. In the lower left corner you’ll see your Rondee On Demand PIN codes. Just check the box there to enable toll free access.

How do I pay for it?

* Just log in to your account and click on the My Account link. You’ll then see an option in the upper right corner to charge up your account using PayPal.

* The cost is $0.05 per minute per caller, and this amount will deducted from your account after each Rondee for which toll free minutes were used by callers.

Rondee from Abroad

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

An on-line submitted question was brought to my attention: “I have a question about Toll-Free Rondee; does the toll free number work in Canada? Or for other non-US calls? If not, can non-US participants dial in on the NON-toll free number and join the call, whether it’s Scheduled! or On Demand?”

The Toll-Free number does not work abroad (or at least, it is not supposed to).  For that very reason, non-US participants can definitely dial in on the NON-toll free number to join.  This works for both Scheduled Rondee Conference Calls as well as Rondee ON-Demand Conference Calls.”

Various Ronde questions

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

  • How many people can we have on at the same time?  Do you have a limit?

Up to 50 in theory.  In practice, our users report that 30 is about the maximum to have a satisfactory call experience because of background noise, individual people having line disturbances, etc.

  • Do we get a host code and a participant code?

Everyone actually has the same code.  However, you can change your code at will.  And you can also toggle between regular/premium access at will.  What that means is you can eliminate the ability of other people to use your code for the Toll-Free service if you are worried that someone will abuse it.

  • Can the call be one way…. So, only the person who is hosting can talk and everyone else who is listening cannot be heard.

Yes, we have what is called a “Listen-Only’ Pin code for conference calls.

·       Do you know if we can get a recorded session of the conference call?  Audio recording of the session.

Yes, scheduled rondee offers free audio recording. When you arrange a Rondee conference call you’ll see several boxes with options you can choose. All you need to do is check the box to record the call. Your invitees will be told that the call is being recorded. After the conference call is finished, just go back to Rondee.com (you can get to that page through “My Rondees” link at the top of ths screen once logged into your account; you’ll see a new link for the recording which appears on the page corresponding to that Rondee; you can also get back to that page by clicking on the link in the invitation email)

  • Do you have data that you can deliver about who attended the call/ how many people attended the call.

We are working on this…. it should be in our next release!

Rondee price options

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

You mentioned you would like to get some pricing options on our service.

We do not charge for our core free conference service (i.e. accessing Rondee by calling 619-2-RONDEE).

We do charge for our Toll-Free service.  It is five cents a minute per user.

PIN questions with Scheduled Rondee Conference Calling

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

today we heard this question: “I have invitees that do not have E-mail access. How can I invite them, along with the web rondees so that they have their own access code. Can I do a web invite and have all the rondees use the same access code?”

This is a situation that has a couple of solutions.

First, if you want to solve the problem while still using Scheduled Rondee, here is what you need to do: set up your Scheduled Rondee conference call like normal.  You will not be able to invite them because you do not have e-mail addresses for them.  That is okay.  Call them and give these individuals your PIN.  When they dial and they will receive a warning message telling them that they are dialing in with your PIN.  However, the system will still allow them access to the Rondee conference call just as if they had their own unique PINS.

The second solution is to not use Scheduled Rondee.  Instead, use Rondee On-Demand for your conference call.  In this case, everyone dials in with the same PIN anyway.  You would need to separately call them and tell them what the PIN is.

Our users report successfully using either of these two solutions.

Recurring Rondee Conference Calls

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

A user asked: “Are reminders sent out to each invitee for weekly recurring Rondees? If not how can I send out reminders weekly about our conference call?”

The answer is yes.  All Rondee conference calls, including Recurring Rondees have reminders sent out 30 minutes before the call is to start.
