New Users, get started here
Rondee is a free conference calling service being used by corporations, small businesses,
educational groups, labor unions, prayer groups, student clubs, families and independent professionals.
All these groups rely on Rondee for easy-to-use and free conference calling.

No. If you just want to do basic conference calling 24/7, we'll send you an On Demand PIN and a dial-in number.
All we need is your email address to get started.
However, you will need to create an account if you want to access Rondee's full range of features including:
- The option to record your conference calls and access the audio
- The power to customize your greeting tones in order to control whether participants hear a chime,
hear their names being announced, or simply silence when they enter and leave the conference call
- A directory of your calls showing you who dialed in and for how long
- A listen-only setting which allows you to provide some or all participants with a listen-only PIN
- The ability to choose whether to do conferencing On Demand or using Rondee's handy scheduling system to calendar your calls in advance.
With the Scheduling Rondee version, Rondee informs your invitees, keeps track of their responses, and sends out reminders via email or SMS.

On Demand Rondee enables you and your invitees to conduct on-demand conference calls. A PIN is assigned to you and will remain yours
as long as you dial-in at least once every six months. You and your participants just dial (409) 777-9000 (alternate number: (916) 209-4534)
and have everyone enter the same PIN .
With an On Demand Rondee, your PIN is not a random code as with other conference calling services.
Instead, you can customize your PIN to something memorable. As long as the PIN has not already been taken, it's yours.

Scheduled Rondees are calendared through the Rondee website. You sign in to Rondee.com to choose the date and time for the call.
Rondee sends out email invitations, and invitees respond on the Rondee website. Rondee keeps track of the attendance and displays the call title,
agenda and responses on a page unique to that call. Various features can be enabled such as call recording, automated reminders and recurring conferences.
Rondee emails each participant a PIN code unique to him or her.
On Demand Rondees are not scheduled through the Rondee website.
Instead, you independently notify your invitees of the date/time, and all participants dial in with the exact same PIN code.

Yes. Rondee has different dial-in numbers, but they all go to the same place.
This means people on the same call can be using different dial-in numbers with no problem.
No! You are free to choose something else. Both On Demand and Scheduled Rondee give you the ability to choose whatever you want for a PIN code.
Here is how:
On Demand: login, click the tab for On Demand Rondee and then Register New PIN. As long as the PIN is at least 4 digits and available, its yours.
Scheduled: login, click the tab for My Account and then you can personalize your Scheduled PIN to anything that is at least 4 digits (and available).
Using Scheduled Rondee
- Click on the link in your email and then indicate whether you can join or not. Leave a comment if you wish and then click DONE.
- At the arranged time, call (409) 777-9000 (alternate number: (916) 209-4534) and enter the PIN you were given when you responded.
- If you are a registered user calling from a registered phone number, Rondee will know what phone you are calling from and you won't even need the PIN!
No. As long as someone joins the Rondee within 30 minutes of the scheduled start, the conference will be "held open" for the group.
If the call goes later than anticipated, no problem. Keep going as long as you like up to 8 hours.
Yes, provided the organizer has allowed this.
Remember: your Scheduled PIN is unique to you, so if you want to invite someone else, be sure to visit Rondee.com (just click on the link in the email you received)
rather than forwarding that email.
Other Features

You can choose to record a call on either a Scheduled Rondee or On Demand Rondee.
For a Scheduled Rondee, you choose this feature on the page where you schedule the Rondee.
Participants are notified automatically and everyone who was invited may download the audio by clicking on a link that will appear after the call is over
(you have 30 days to download the audio). The link will appear on the exact same page that displayed all the original details for that conference.
You will be able to access this page through the original invitation email or by logging into your account, clicking on 'Scheduled Rondee', followed by
'Show Past Rondees', selecting the particular call you need and then clicking on the 'Conference Data' button.
The file will be in MP3 format. Files become available about 60 minutes after the last person exits the Rondee.
PLEASE NOTE that the recording for a Scheduled Rondee will not record multiple conferences within that time frame.
In other words, if your participants dial in and then later hang up and dial back in again during the scheduled time frame,
the recording will be for the longest session. If you want the flexibility to record multiple sessions within a particular time frame,
please record with On Demand Rondee as described below.
For an On Demand Rondee, you choose this feature on the page where you configure the options for that On Demand PIN code.
Only the organizer may download the audio by clicking on a link that will appear after the call is over (you have 30 days to download the audio).
The audio will appear on the page corresponding to that On Demand PIN code by clicking on "Access conference data and audio".
The file will be in MP3 format. Files become available about 60 minutes after the last person exits the Rondee.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AUDIO FEATURE MUST BE SWITCHED TO ON PRIOR TO THE CALL STARTING. AND, IF YOU DO BACK-TO-BACK ON DEMAND CALLS, THE AUDIO WILL ONLY RECORD FOR THE SUBSEQUENT CONFERENCE CALL IF YOU LEAVE A 5 MINUTE GAP BETWEEN THE CONFERENCES.

The answer is yes provided that the user in the foreign country is able to dial a US phone number. Many of our foreign users have found it very cost effective to access Rondee via a Skype-Out call.
You can only cancel a Scheduled Rondee if you are the organizer. You'll first need to navigate your way back to the page of that Scheduled Rondee. You have two options to navigate your way back:
-
Click on the link in the e-mail you received when you organized the Rondee; or
-
Log into your account, click on "Scheduled Rondees" and then select the particular Rondee you want to cancel
You will see a button at the bottom of the screen marked called "Cancel Rondee".
Simply click on that button. The call will be canceled and notifications will go out to all the attendees. Note: this also works for canceling a recurring Rondee.

When you are choosing the options for either a Scheduled Rondee or On Demand Rondee,
you'll be given the choice of what you want to have happen when callers enter the conference and exit the conference.
You can choose whether you want participants to hear a chime, hear their name being announced, or simply have silence when they enter and the conference call.
Similarly, you can customize what happens when callers exit the conference.
First you will need to make sure that you have enabled audio recording on the conference.
See "How do I record a call" above for more details on this.
As of now, transcriptions are done manually with about 95 percent accuracy and turnaround typically takes 2 to 3 business days.
To request a transcript, email support@rondee.com with the word Transcription in the header to arrange the purchase.
The cost is $1 per minute with a $20 minimum and payment is handled via Paypal.
When you are choosing the options for either a Scheduled Rondee or On Demand Rondee, you'll see a box you can check marked "Listen-only PIN".
If you check that box, you will get a PIN code that will enable callers to hear what is happening on a call but not be heard.
You may give this Listen-only PIN to some or all of your participants.
Their presence on the call will still be included in the tally of how many people are on the call.
You will automatically receive a post-conference receipt providing information about the call including when it occurred, who dialed in and for how long.
You can always elect to turn off the automatic notification feature.
Other Questions
No. Calls to Rondee (Rondee area codes are 916 in California and 409 in Texas) cost no more than any other regular long distance call you make from your home or office phone.
Also, for cell phone users, a call to Rondee is exactly like any other call you make.
Rondee was started because existing teleconferencing systems either charge fees or aren't easy to use.
Besides being free, Rondee also offers a number of useful features such as call-recording,
the ability to customize entrance/exit tones, automated reminders, and reporting on who dialed in.
For more information on what makes Rondee unique in our industry, please click here: The Rondee difference.
Rondee is our take on the word "rendez-vous" which means (1) a meeting arranged for a specified time and place, (2) a popular meeting place for people.
As a verb, rendez-vous means to meet at a specified time and place. Rondee is all the above.
It's the new way to communicate in a virtual meeting place whenever and with whomever you wish.

Rondee Toll Free works exactly like regular Rondee except the dial-in number is a 1-800 number rather than a California number.
Toll Free Rondee works with both Scheduled Rondee as well as On Demand Rondee.
Also, you can have some callers using the California number and some using the 1-800 number, all on the same call.
To activate 1-800 access on a Scheduled Rondee, simply check the box marked "Enable Toll Free Access"
which appears on the scheduling page when you are arranging that call. To enable 1-800 access for On Demand Rondee,
log in to your account and click on the link for "On Demand Rondee", select the appropriate PIN and then check the box marked "Enable Toll Free Access".

Simply log in to your account and click on the link for Premium Services.
On that page you'll see an option in the upper right corner to charge up your account using PayPal.
The cost is $0.05 per minute per caller who dialed the 1-800 number, and this amount will deducted from your account after each Rondee
for which you selected the toll free option.
No and unfortunately, this is an issue we have no control over. For many years, Google Voice exempted Rondee from its prohibition on free conference call services because Rondee does not engage in the controversial industry practices of other conferencing companies. Lately, however, it appears that Google Voice is prohibiting its users from accessing all conferencing services, period.

A number of new features are now available to both On Demand users as well as Scheduled Rondee users:
- The option to record your conference calls and access the audio.
- The power to customize your greeting tones in order to control whether participants hear a chime, hear their names being announced
(or simply silence) when they enter and leave the conference call.
- A directory of your calls showing you who dialed in and for how long.
- A listen-only setting which allows you to provide some or all participants with a listen-only PIN.
In addition, the new version of Rondee makes it much easier to have both your On Demand as well as Scheduled conferences under "one roof"
by providing a single interface which allows you to access both services.
If you already had a Rondee account with a password, there is no need to create a new account. Your existing login e-mail address and password will work just fine.
We encourage you to take a tour of the new site.
If you were previously using Rondee but had no password, you can continue using Rondee just like you were before.
But if you want access to all the new features, you'll need to take a moment and sign up for a fully featured account
by clicking on the link in the e-mail we sent to you as an existing user.
