Rondee is a virtual meeting space that makes it fast and easy for you to talk to any group of people.
Only a telephone is required for each person. You don't need a computer headset or any special software to use Rondee -- whether you want to talk to your professional colleagues, club members, friends or family, Rondee is the way to go!
You do not need to register for Rondee unless you want to schedule your own Rondees using the Rondee website. However, there are benefits to registration for everyone:
When you dial-in from a registered phone number, you won't have to enter your assigned Pin to enter a Rondee. This feature works for all cell phones and most landline phones.

And, of course, registered users can schedule Rondees at any time.

Rondee makes it incredibly easy to arrange a group call in advance.
From the Rondee home page, indicate when you want your call to take place and who you want to invite.
Rondee then emails invitations to each invitee. When your invitee responds that he or she will dial in, a unique code to access the scheduled Rondee is provided.
Rondee also gives you and your invitees a link to a web page so you can see who is going to be on the call.
At the arranged time, each person just calls 619-2-RONDEE (619-276-6333) and enters his or her assigned code.
Remember that each code is unique to you as a Rondee user, and can also be used by you for any future Rondees. The Scheduled Rondee are ideal for businesses, clubs, non-profits and others who want to arrange discussions in advance with multiple people.

If you're like most people, you sometimes want to talk to a group of friends or family on the fly without setting anything up.
With Rondee Now, you can get your very own unique virtual meeting space by claiming your own Rondee ID (e.g. "Adam"). If the ID has not already been taken, it's yours!
When you want to talk with other people, just send them a text message, IM, or email asking them to dial 619-2-RONDEE (619-276-6333) and then enter your Rondee ID.
To get your very own virtual meeting space, call 619-2-RONDEE (619-276-6333) and enter your desired ID on the telephone keypad (e.g. "Adam" = "2326"). If it hasn't been claimed yet, its yours!

No. As long as someone joins the Rondee within 30 minutes of the scheduled start, the space will be 'held open' for the group. If the call goes later than anticipated, no problem. Keep going as long as you like.
Yes, provided the organizer has allowed this. Remember: your PIN only works for you, so if you want to invite someone else, be sure to visit Rondee (just click on the link in the email you received) rather than forwarding that email.
Other frequently asked questions
No. Calls to Rondee (area code 619 is in San Diego, where two of our founders hail from) cost no more than any other regular long distance call you make from your home or office phone. For cell phone users, a call to Rondee is exactly like any other call you make.
Rondee was started because existing teleconferencing systems either charge high fees or aren't easy to use
Besides being free, Rondee also includes convenient web-based scheduling and on-call features while remaining very easy to use
Only Rondee gives you a convenient way to schedule calls on the web, a universal access number 619-2-RONDEE (619-276-6333) you can put in your speed-dial, and your very own virtual meeting space where registered users don't need to remember random codes.
Rondee is our take on the word "rendez-vous" which means (1) a meeting arranged for a specified time and place, (2) a popular meeting place for people. As a verb, rendez-vous means to meet at a specified time and place. Rondee is all the above. It's the new way to communicate in a virtual meeting place whenever and with whomever you wish.
Yes, the organizer can choose to record a call. When this option is chosen, participants are notified and everyone who was invited may download the audio by clicking on a link that will appear after the call is over. The link will appear on the exact same page that displayed all the original details for that Rondee. The file will be in GSM but can be converted to WAV or other formats using any standard utility such as
this one.
